A motorboat start from rest and moves with uniform acceleration .If it attains the velocity of 18m/s in 6s ,calculate the acceleration and distance travelled in that time.

Initial velocity=0
Final velocity=18m/s
Time =6 seconds

So,
$a =\frac{v-u}{t} =\frac{18-0}{6} = 3 m/s^2$

Now,
we have to find Distance travelled,we will find it by using following equation:-

$s =ut+\frac{1}{2}a{t}^2 = 0 +\frac{1}{2}\times 3\times 6\times 6 =54 m$

Distance travelled=37.5m
