A motorboat start from rest and moves with uniform acceleration .If it attains the velocity of 18m/s in 6s ,calculate the acceleration and distance travelled in that time.

Initial velocity=0

Final velocity=18m/s

Time =6 seconds

So,

$a=\frac{v-u}{t}=\frac{18-0}{6}=3m/{s}^{2}$

Now,

we have to find Distance travelled,we will find it by using following equation:-

$s=ut+\frac{1}{2}a{t}^{2}=0+\frac{1}{2}\times 3\times 6\times 6=54m$

Regards

Hence,

Distance travelled=37.5m
