A person who is undergoing treatment for liver xerosis was advised to exclude fatty food items from the diet.
Justify the reason for this special diet description

Dear Student,

Liver cirrhosis is a liver disease in which irreversible loss of liver cells  and their replacement by scar tissue occur. Common causes of liver cirrhosis are excessive alcohol consumption and infection with hepatitis B and C viruses. In this disease, liver functions are adversely affected. It causes weakness, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin (jaundice), fatigue, etc. It can lead to liver cancer.  Food rich in fats can cause deposition of fat on the liver and this fatty liver can lead to the severe development of cirrhosis or scarring of the liver.
