A rectangular gardern is 150m long and 140m wide, it has two roads each 1m50m wide running midway within it one parallel to the breadth. Find the area of roads and the cost of repairing the roads at Rs 1.20 per square m

Length of the road = 140 m
Breadth of the road = 1.50 m
Area of 1 road = L x B
                        = 140 x 1.50
                        = 210 m2
Area of 2 roads = Area of 1 road x 2
                          = 210 m2 x 2
                          = 420 m2
Cost of repairing 1 m2 = Rs. 1.20
Cost of repairing 420 m2 = 1.20 x 420
                                         = Rs. 504
Therefore, the cost of repairing is Rs. 504.
