A river flowing east has a 30ft tower on one of its banks. On the other side of the river, the angle of elevation of point A to the top of the tower is 45 degrees and the angle of elevation from B to the top of the tower is 60 degrees. Find the width of the river, if AB = 60 ft. is a line on the ground.

Dear Student,
Here the point A or  B are exactly opposite to the tower or not is unclear or more precisely not mentioned. So question is ambigous because if point A is exactly opposite then we can use tan 45= 30/width of river
so width of river will be 30 ft and similarly with point B if it is exactly opposite to tower.
But here the position is unclear so we cannot find the same.
