- Let us not forget that India got its freedom after a long and tough freedom struggle.
- The revolt of 1857, the Dandi March, the Quit India Movement, etc are some steps along the way of the freedom struggle.
- Many charismatic and strong leaders emerged along the way: Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Tantya Tope, Rani Laxmi Bai, etc.
- They all inspired people to face the oppressive British rule with fortitude.
- They led people to revolt against the rule of the British and ask for freedom which was rightfully theirs!
- Finally, India won its freedom after many hardships in 1947.
