A square metallic frame has perimeter 308 cm. It is bent in the shape of a circle. Find the area of the circle so formed

Dear student,

The perimeter of the square equals the circumference of the circle.
Let the radius of the circle be r
2πr=3082×227×r=308r=308×72×22r=49
Area of the circle = πr2=227×49×49=7546 cm2

perimeter of metallic frame = circumference of circle=308 cm

2 x pie x radius=308
radius=7x308/2x22=49 cm
area of circle so formed=pie x radius2
area=22/7x 7x7=154 cm2
