A unicellular organism multiply by cell division. Is this growth or reproduction?

Dear Student

This is reproduction.

In unicellular organisms, asexual reproduction is the most common method of reproduction. Therefore, mitosis occurs during reproduction in unicellular organisms.

It is reproduction because the organism is replicating itself . Infact it is asexual reproduction. Here you cant observe increase in body mass or cell size of the parent organism . So it isn't growth.
