It is so because wood being a rough object has more irregularities
on its surface so the interlocking between the wooden surface and
mat would be more i e more friction would be there while on the
other hand cemented floor is a smooth object and has comparatively
less irregularities thereby redudcing the interlocking between the
two objects and resulting in smoother movement due to less friction
