A wooden cube first float inside the water whena 100g mass is placed on it.When the mass is removed,the cube is 1cm above the waterlevel.The side of cube is

(a)10cm (b)15cm (c)5cm(d)20cm

Let the side of the cube be x.

Volume of the cube, V = x3

Let mass be the mass of the wooden block.

when the mass 100 g ( = 0.1 ) is on the wooden block then,

Weight of the wooden block + 0.1g = weight of the water displaced by the wooden block

When mass 0.1 kg is removed from the wooden block,

ρ = 1000  kg/m3

on solving we get,

x = 10 cm
