according to cbse board in optional question if no sub question roman number number is given but sub questions for that are given (a,b,c,d) then we can directly write the question number and answer itself right (Example:english board paper RTCs) (for meritnation experts this question)
If there is no sub option, you can give the same roman number. But the best option would be to mark it as a) or b)
