Achievement of ghost

The Ghost's achievements in frightening inhabitants of Canterville Chase are numerous. He had frightened the rector of the local Church, scared Madame de Tremouillac and even throttled Lady Stutfield. He had even taught a lesson to an ancestor of the present Lord Canterville, who used to cheat at cards. However, the greatest achievement of the Ghost was being able to convince Miss Virginia to seek forgiveness from the Angel of Death on behalf of the Ghost. He had scared Lord Raker so much that his wig had turned grey and the French governesses of Lady Canterville had resigned, because of the Ghost. Nevertheless, these triumphs only brought sorrow to the Ghost, because his actual achievement was when he received redemption. This was made possible only when Miss Virginia took pity on the Ghost and helped him find peace.
