1f =1u+1v1v =1f-1u =-112-1(-18) =118-1121v =12-1818×12 =-618×12 =-136v = -36 cm

When the image distance is negative, the image is behind the mirror so image form behind the mirror. Image is real.
m=- v/u

m=- (-36)/(-18) = -2

Magnification is neagtive hence image is inverted.

Also, m=hi/ho

2=hi/4cm

hi=8 cm
 

hence image is magnified i.e. 8cm high
