Ans plz this is long ques ... Class 11 Hornbill chapter 'Portrait of a Lady'

Dear Student
The author and the grandmother shared an indelible relationship. Both of them were bound to each other, not by distance and time but an eternal bond that remained sturdy in their tough times of separation. The author grew in the arms of her grandmother sharing her room and learning godly hymns from her. Her religious beliefs and prayers created a firm foundation for their relationship and also added to the upbringing of the author. However, when the author was asked to shift to the city along with his grandmother to his parent's house, their relationship underwent a change. It was the turning point of their relationship when their conversations lessened and the distances grew. The learning of music disturbed the grandmother but her understanding and strength did not let her weaken the relationship. The author was sent abroad for a span of five years for higher studies. Even then the grandmother did not break and had a tenacious hold of her love. She waited calmly for these long years and took her last breath when she saw him again.
