a. A single integrated judiciary means that the entire judiciary functions as a hierarchy with the Supreme Court at the top, the High Courts coming next and the district courts forming the lowest layer. Cases tried by lower courts can be reviewed by courts which rank higher in the hierarchy.

e. The highest court in a district is the court of the District and Sessions Judge.
