Are Aggregate Expenditure and consumption one and the same thing????
Shouldnt they be different as Aggregate expenditure = AD = C+I
So they should be the same only if I = 0

Dear Student,

What you have mentioned is absolutely correct. Expenditure includes both expenditure for consumption purposes as well as for investment purposes. Thus, aggregate expenditure and aggregate consumption aren't equal. Only when investment is zero, are aggregate expenditure and aggregate consumption equal.
