Are the proofs of theorems important from the exam point of view? I mean, will we be asked to prove theorems given in the maths textbook in the boards?

Theorems are important from examination point of view. While studying the chapters in your school, your subject teacher must have been informing you about the important theorems and sections of the chapter. We cannot comment on the type of question that can be asked in board exams.
