How are you? I was happy to know that you had participated in a play. It must have been very exciting. Though, I am a little saddened by your attitude towards the duty you had received. You should know that a successful play is an output of the combined efforts of everyone involved. It is nothing to do just with the participation of actors, but even the stage hands, the people who are involved in the backstage duties are also equally significant. In school in our English text we have a chapter titled “Patol Babu”, this story is of a small time actor who is offered a very small role in a big film. In this role he has to merely utter a sound “oh”, it was not even a word or a proper line, but just a small sound. And Patol Babu played the role with such grace and perfection that he stunned everyone in the movie. He was highly appreciated for his dedication to this minor role. Always remember no work is small or big, any work is good work, and it should be performed with immense devotion and hard work.
How a play turns out ultimately depends on the team’s effort, you were part of a team, in a team every individual is appreciated for his efforts. You should acknowledge any responsibility that you have been given and perform it with dignity, to achieve appreciation from others. You will never be judged on the basis of your work or position, but the attitude with which you perform your duties. Strive to have a positive attitude towards any responsibility that you are given, make the most of any opportunity that comes your way.
