ASENDING ORDER

3.3,3.303,3.03,0.33,3.003

I the Answer zone it's 0.33, 3.003, 3.033, 3.3, 3.033

but i feel 0.33, 3.003, 3.033, 3.303, 3.3.As,3.303 is smaller than 3.3

please explain.

3.303 is greater than 3.3.

The decimal number 3.3 can be written as: 3.3 = 3.300

Now, comparing the number 3.300 and 3.303

The whole part of both the number is same i.e., 3.

Considering the decimal part, it is clear that 0.303 > 0.300

So, 3.303 > 3.300

⇒ 3.303 > 3.3

Hope you get it!!

the correct order is

0.33 , 3.003, 3.033, 3.3, 3.303

see, when you have some confusion in this equal the number of digits after the decimal point.

for eg:

0.33 = 0.330

3.003 = 3.003

3.033 = 3.033

3.3 = 3.300

3.303 = 3.303

for equalising the digits, keep on putting zeroes unless we have the LCM no. of zeroes.

now, we have equal no. of digits after the decimal , i.e., three.

now check for the ones place.

0 is small so 0.33 will get the first place.

now, all others have same ones place 3.

so, look for the digits after the decimal.

arrange the no.s in the order of increasing numbers after the decimal.

like, 3, 33, 300, 303.

so, the increasing order will be 3.003, 3.033, 3.3, 3.303.

so, the answer key is correct.

or a more simpler way is multiply the numbers by 1000.

so you get,

3300, 3303, 3033, 330, 3003

no arrange them in ascending order:

330, 3003, 3033, 3300, 3303

now again divide by thousand and put decimals and get the order.

hope it helps!!

cheers!!!

thumbs up plzzz..
