ASSERTION (A):Energy is required to carry out different life processes.
REASON(R): Energy is obtained in the form of ATP in the mitochondria.

Dear Student,
Both assertion and reason are true. And reason is correct explanations of assertion.
Assertion says energy is required to carry out different life processes, which is true all living organisms need energy to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments. Living organisms must take in energy via food, nutrients, or sunlight in order to carry out cellular processes.
Here reason explaining how energy is formed in our body. Reason says energy is obtained in the form of ATP in the mitochondria. Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell which produces and stores energy in the form of ATP. ATP is used by all the organism as their primary source of energy. Energy is usually liberated from the ATP molecules in the cell by a reaction that removes one of the phosphate-oxygen groups.
Hence both are correct and reason is correct for assertion.
