At the end of the play, one is told that five centuries later noodle has acquired the position of think tank. through your understanding of the both characters pen down the account of events that could have led to think tanks replacement

Solution:
Think-Tank makes different guesses about the books found on Earth. He thinks them to be sandwiches at first because his view is that Earth creatures are always eating. When this surmise is proved false, he presumes the books to be some sort of communication device since Noodle shares with him this observation from a surveyor film. However, this guess too proves to be wrong. Then Think-Tank considers them to be a device for eye communication. He opines so because Apprentice Noodle tells him that the Earthlings opened the books and watched them. Lastly, Think-Tank decodes the rhymes and concludes that Earthlings are an advanced lot who can grow high explosives by combining agriculture and mining. He gets the impression that his life is in danger and beats a hasty retreat ordering his staff to run to Alpha Centauri, a hundred million miles away from Mars. All his decisions were based on incorrect and impractical analysis and interpretation.
Think-Tank is arrogantly superior and disdainful, short-tempered, overconfident, and vain. He holds himself in high esteem and cleverly takes credit for all the suggestions offered by Noodle. He tries to dominate all his subordinates, including Noodle, by compelling them to obey his silly orders like eating a book. Think-Tank's decisions are taken in haste unlike Noodle, who thinks well before reaching a conclusion. It is Noodle who examines the 'cloudy piece of information twirling around his head' and also advises to give intelligence-enhancing vitamins to the crew of Probe One.
No wonder, the wise, and wonderful Noodle replaces the arrogant and conceited Think-Tank as the ruler of Mars in the twenty-fifth century for people like Think-Tank cannot be relied upon for mass welfare.
