Average electric current in a conductor due to random thermal motion of electrons is (i) Zero (ii) Low (iii)High (iv) Depends on temperature of conductor

Dear student,

In the absence of applied potential difference electrons have random motion. The average displacement and average velocity are zero (As the electrons are moving randomly due to thermal energy). There is no flow of current due to the thermal motion of free electrons in a conductor.
so, Average electric current in a conductor due to random thermal motion of electrons is (i) Zero.

.
