1. Margie asked Tommy why anyone would write about school as she had never seen a school in her life. For her, the concept of children going to a school to study was an alien one. That is why, she was curious to know what the book mentioned about schools.
2. When Margie's mother called her for school, Margie merely went to a room adjoining her bedroom where a mechanical teacher was positioned. Her lessons appeared on the television screen, she punched in her assignments into a slot in the mechanical teacher which evaluated them and gave results.
