Calculate the concentration of 45 g salt present in 500 g of solution.

Dear student,

The concentration of a solution is most of the time expressed as the number of moles of solute present in 1 Litre of the solution called as molarity but it can also be measured as
Concentration of solution = (mass of solute/Mass of solution) x 100 = ( 45 g / 500 g) x 100 = 0.09 × 100= 9%

Mass of solute= 45g Mass of solution= 500g So, concentration by mass percentage = mass of solute ÷ mass of solution × 100 45 ÷ 500 × 100= 0.09 × 100= 9% Therefore, the concentration of solution is 9%. Hope it helps....
