Calculate the maximum number of electrons in 25Mn which have n=3 , m=0 and s=+1/2.

Dear Student,
We have to find out the number of electron in n = 3, m = 0 and s= +1/2 level.
In n= 3 18 electrons can be present.
In this level 3 p levels are present these are s, p, d.
In s two electrons can present.
In p six electron can present.
In d ten electrons can present.
In s value of m = 0.
In p level values of m= +1,0,-1.
In d level values of m= +2,+1,0,-1,-2.
So total three m= 0 levels are present where 6 electrons can present.
Among these six electrons three electron occupy s=+1/2 and three electron occupy s=-1/2
So in s=+1/2 total three electrons are present.
For Mn in d orbital 5 electrons are present all have +1/2 spin.
So total electron present is n=3,m=0, s=+1/2 is 3.
