can we prove this property of triangles on the same base and between same parrals are equal in area by 1/2 *base*height that the are between same base anb the height becomes the length between the parallels therefore if the base is 2 cm and the length between parallels is 5 cm then the area of 1st triangle will be 5cm 2

and the area of the 2nd triangle is also 5cm2.?plzzzzzzz help me fast i hav my exam next week only..........

Two triangles on the same base (or equal bases) and between the same parallel are equal in area

Suppose ABCD is a parallelogram whose one of the diagonal is AC. Let AN is perpendicular to DC.

The data provided by you is DC = 2 cm and AN = 5

area of ADC =  ½ × 5 × 2 =  5 cm2

Therefore, the area of triangle ABC will also be equal to  5 cm2 .

yes... definately... by 1/2 *base* h, v will get area of triangle 1 as same as the second one, bt as thier areas are equal, that doesnt mean they are congruent
