Can we say inguinal canal is like the bypass beneath flyovers which can be used as a path for spermatic cord and vasa deferentia to get into contact with abdominal body and scortum.

Dear student.
  • Inguinal canal is an oblique passage through the lower abdominal wall.
  • In males, it is the passage through which the testes descend into the scrotum and it contains the spermatic cord. The epididymis leads to vas deferens that ascends to the abdomen through inguinal canal and loops over the urinary bladder.
  • In females it is not much prominent and transmits the round ligament of the uterus.
Regards.
