Can we say that calling biosynthetic phase as the dark phase is a misnomer?

Yes, calling the biosynthetic phase, the dark reaction is a misnomer. Because biosynthetic phase can not occur for long if the light phase is absent. It depend on the products of light reaction like ATP and NADPH. After light becomes unavailable, the biosynthetic phase continues for some time and then stops . If then light is available the process is start again. So, biosynthetic should not be totally considered as dark reaction.
