Chapter Name : Cell

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

i. A- Cell membrane
B. Cell wall
C. Cytoplasm
D. Vacuole
E. Nucleus
F. Chloroplast
G. Microtubules
H. Mitochondria

ii. Cell organelles are the specific structures present inside the cell that have specific functions to perform in different cell metabolic activities. They are mostly membrane-bound. Mitochondria, ribosome, plastid, nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, lysosomes, Golgi apparatus etc. are cell organelles.

Nucleus:

  • It controls all the activities of the cell.
  • It stores and maintains the DNA (hereditary material) present in it.
  • It helps in the transcription of RNA.
Mitochondria: It is called the powerhouse of the cell as it helps in the production of energy in form of ATP.

Chloroplast: It is called the kitchen of the cell and is present in a plant cell. It helps in the manufacturing of food by the process of photosynthesis.

Vacuole: These are store houses of the various solutes and macromolecules used in a cell, including ions, sugars, amino acids, proteins and polysaccharides.

iii. Labelled diagram of the nucleus:

Hope this helps.
