Classify diseases on the basis of their time of occurrence.

Two types of diseases on the basis of time. 1)Acute :Diseases that last for a very short time .e.g.Headache 2)Chronic :Diseases that last for a long time ,even as much as lifetime.e.g.elephantiasis .

Diseases classified on the basis of their time of occurrence are:
Acute diseases  and Chronic diseases

1) Acute Diseases
- These disease last only for a short period of time
- They spread rapidly in the body, showing intense symptoms
- Examples - Cold, cough and influenza

2) Chronic Diseases
- These disease last for a long period of time.
- They do not spread rapidly. They develop slowly over a period of time
- Examples - daibetes and arithritis
