classify plant diseases dependin upon the occurrence and trasnmission
Based on their occurrence plant diseases are classified as:
1. Endemic disease: When a disease is more or less constantly present in a particular country or part of earth, it is called as endemic.
2. Epidemic: Disease which occurs widely but periodically is called as a epidemic disease.
3. Sporadic diseases: Diseases which occur at very irregular intervals and locations is called as a sporadic disease.
Based on their transmission plant diseases are classified as:
1. Infectious disease: Diseases that spread from one plant to other. It include fungal disease, bacterial disease and viral disease.
2. Non-infectious disease: Disease that do not spread from one plant to other and mostly caused by nature-frost, rain, wind, sun, hail storm etc.
