Concentrated aqueous sulphuric acid is 98% h2so4 and has a density of 1.80 gm/L what is the molarity of solution?
Plz don't send any link as I have checked them all
Answrr of this ques. is 10M but I don't know the solution.
Plz help...........

Dear Student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Given that conc.H2SO4 is present as 98%
This means 98g of H2SO4 is present in 100g of solution.
Now,
no.of moles =weight of H2SO4molar mass of H2SO4                    =98g98gmol-1                     = 1mol

Density =mass of solution volume of solution volume of solution =100g1.8g/mL                             = 55.55mL
Molarity =no.of moles of solutevolume of solution in litres            =10.05555             =18M

[Please note that the unit of Density mentioned by you is wrong, it has to be 1.80g/mL]

Hope this information will clear your doubts about the topic.
