Conclusion on Newton's laws of motion

Dear Student,

Conclusion on newton's first law of motion :

Inertia of an object tends to resist any change in its state of rest or state of motion. When a carpet is beaten with a stick, then the carpet comes to motion. But, the dust particles try to resist their state of rest. According to Newton’s first law of motion, the dust particles stay in a state of rest, while the carpet moves. Hence, the dust particles come out of the carpet.

Conclusion on newton's second law of motion :

A cricket player moves his hands backwards on catching a fast cricket ball because in this way he increases the time of catch to reduce the momentum of the ball to zero.

As, force = change in momentum/time

Therefore player has to apply a smaller force against the ball to stop it. The ball in turn exert a smaller force on his hand and thus the hands are not injured.

Conclusion on newton's third law of motion :

In guns the gunpowder explosion create hot gases that expands and allow the gun to push forward on bullet.

According to Newton's third law of motion to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction so in the case when the gun push the bullet the bullet also pushes back the gun with an equal force but in opposite direction due to this force exerted by the bullet on the gun the gun move backwards which is called the recoil of the gun.

The force exerted by the gun on bullet is equal and opposite to the force exerted by the bullet  on the gun. The acceleration of the gun and the bullet will be different it will depend on the mass of bullet and gun.

In conclusion, Newton's second law provides the explanation for the behavior of objects upon which the forces do not balance. The law states that unbalanced forces cause objects to accelerate with an acceleration that is directly proportional to the net force and inversely proportional to the mass.
