conditions required for the growth of microorganisms

Conditions required for the growth of microbes :
1. Water - Bacteria need water to dissolve the food they use for energy and growth
2.  Food / Energy - all Bacteria require energy to live and grow which they get from sugars , starch etc.
3. Oxygen - Some bacteria require oxygen to grow ( aerobes)
4.  Temperature - Different microbes are capable of growing at different temperatures
5.  pH - It is the measure of acid or alkali in the product. Most bacteria grow well at neutral pH but many can also reproduce from the range 4.5 - 10.0

In order to grow successfully, microorganisms?must have a supply of water as well as numerous other substances including mineral elements,?growth?factors, and gas, such as oxygen. Virtually all chemical substances in?microorganisms?contain carbon in some form, whether they be proteins, fats, carbohydrates, or lipids.
