consider two semi-infinite flat plate line parallel to the xy plane

It is not possible to draw a 3D picture in a plane paper, but we have roughly draw the diagram for the sake of convenience. The x axis is exteneded from 0 to infinite, and y axis is extended for (-infinite) to (+infinte)
