Consonants and vowels produce different sounds in terms of stoppage of air. Explain

Dear Student,

Consonant is a speech sound that is made by stopping all or some of the air going out of our mouth. This stopping of air happens in different locations in our mouth.

Vowel is a sound that we make when we speak without closing our mouth or throat so there is no restriction on air.
