Construct a triangle ABC, whose perimeter is 14cm and sides are in the ratio 2:3:4. Kindly send me the steps of construction

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Given : Perimeter = 14 cm , Ratio = 2 : 3 : 4

So,

Sum of terms of ratio = 2 + 3 + 4 = 9

Then ,

Length of 1st side = 29×14 = 289 =3.1 cm
Length of 2nd side = 39×14 = 143 = 4.7 cm
Length of 3rd side = 49×14 = 569 = 6.2 cm

Now :

Step 1 : Draw a line AB  = 6.2 cm 

Step 2 : Take radius of length of 3.1 cm and center " A "  draw an arc . With radius of length of 4.7 cm and center " B "  draw an arc that intersect our previous arc at " C " .

Step 3 : Join AC and BC  .

We get our required triangle ABC , As :
