​Construct an isosceles triangle ABC with AB = AC. BC = 5.5cm. Perimeter = 17.5 cm.

Given, BC = 5.5 cm and AB = AC

Again, perimeter of triangle = 17.5 cm. 

⇒AB + BC + AC = 17.5

⇒ 2AB + 5.5 = 17.5

⇒ 2AB = 12

⇒ AB = 6 cm = AC

So, if BC is 5.5cm , then AB+AC=17.5 - 5.5cm=12cm
