construct the circumcircle of the triangle ABC,in which AB=5cm, BC=6cm, and angleA=60degree and write its step.
We have to construct the circumcircle of a triangle. So first of all we need to construct a triangle and then find the intersection of the perpendicular bisectors of the sides of the triangle in order to get the circumcentre.
Step 1 - Draw a line segment AB = 5cm
Step 2 - Draw an angle of 60 degree on A using compass.
Step 3 - Using B as centre, cut an arc of 6cm on the line drawn from A inclined at 60 degree in order to obtain the point C and finally the required triangle ABC.
Step 4 - Draw the perpendicular bisectors of all the 3 sides of the triangle using compass.
Step 5 - All the 3 perpendicular bisectors meet at O which is the circumcentre of the triangle. Using OA as radius and O as centre you can draw the required circumcircle of the triangle ABC.
