Covid-19 outbreak had an impact on the work setting and amended the working practices. Discuss the role of HR manager in the post pandemic work setting with the real- world examples.

Dear Student

Role of  HR manager in the post pandemic( Covid-19)  work setting has changed and is going to change.
* Human Resource Manager now has to be well acknowledged with many new laws related to social distancing and safety measures to be adopted by business organisation.
* As face-to-face collaboration/ communication is replaced with e-mails and videoconferencing, HR managers are facing difficulty to develop coordination and cooperation with  or among employees.
*  Role of HR manager has changed deliberately.  HR managers have to keep their workers productive, motivated, engaged and connected during this difficult and stressful time.
* Example: Tata Consultancy Services has asked more than 40% of its employees to work from home.
* Example: Twitter has given various following statements steps related to safety of their employees and partners in this pandemic
We’re thinking about the next few months:
  • Opening offices will be our decision, when and if our employees come back, will be theirs.
  • With very few exceptions, offices won’t open before September. When we do decide to open offices, it also won’t be a snap back to the way it was before. It will be careful, intentional, office by office and gradual.
  • There will also be no business travel before September, with very few exceptions, and no in-person company events for the rest of 2020. We will assess 2021 events later this year.

Regards
