From Coulomb's law, the force on charge q due to a charge Q is given by:
$\overrightarrow{F}=\frac{1}{4\pi {\epsilon }_o}\frac{qQ}{r^2}\hat{r}, where r= dis\tan ce between the charges q and Q.$
The electric field due to charge Q is given as:
$\overrightarrow{E}=\frac{1}{4\pi {\epsilon }_o}\frac{Q}{r^2}\hat{r}$
So, comparing both equations we can write:
$\overrightarrow{F}=q\overrightarrow{E}$
It is the force on the charge q due to the field generated by Q.
