how taking of oral contraceptive pills by female result in not production of baby?/

explain me the reason..

Oral contraceptive pills contain either progestogen or progestogen - estrogen combination , which inhibit ovulation and implantation as well as alter the quality of cervical mucus to prevent/ retard entry of sperms. This prevents fertilisation.
