further to my question on what kind of bacteria (aerobic/anaerobic)are used in secondary treatment of sewage
class xii NCERT book states that it is aerobic bacteria however your answer is anaerobic bacteria .
pl clearify.

After primary treatment, sewage is separated into liquid and solid phase. The liquid portion is acted upon by denitrifying bacteria which act aerobically to liberate nitrogen eventually. But the solid portion in this liquid part undergoes fermentation by action of anaerobic bacteria.
