Functions of Nucleolus

Nucleolus makes ribosomal subunits from proteins and ribosomal RNA. It sends subunits out to the rest of the cell where they combine into complete ribosomes. Ribosomes make proteins, hence, nucleolus plays a vital role in making proteins in the cell. Its main function is to rewrite ribosomal RNA and combine it with proteins.
