can you tell me how to do this question by using cross multipication

17 bags of cement costs Rs 1675.50. How many bags can be bought for Rs 1182.

Suppose x number of bags of cement can be bought in Rs.1182.
Then, cost of 1 bag = $\frac{1182}{x}$.....(i)
And cost of 17 bags of cement is Rs.1675.50.
Then, cost of 1 bag = $\frac{1675.50}{17}$.....(ii)
So, from (i) and (ii) we get;
$$\begin{gathered} \frac{1182}{x} = \frac{1675.50}{17} \\ \Rightarrow 1182\times 17 = 1675.50\times x \{\mathrm{Using} \mathrm{cross} \mathrm{multiplication}\}\Rightarrow x = \frac{1182\times 17}{1675.50} = 11.992 \approx 12 \end{gathered}$$
Therefore total number of bags of cement can be bought are 12.
