- Urban settlements-The settlement comprises of towns and cities are called urban settlement.In Urban settlements people are engaged in manufacturing and trading.
- Rural settlement-Rural settlement are those settlements which are compact or scattered .Most of the people in rural settlements are engaged in agriculture,fishing,forestry etc.
