define solubility.

Solubility: It is a chemical property of which refferes to the ability of a given substance(solute) to dissolve in a solvent.

Or , in other words. it is a property of a solid, liquid, or gas called as solute to dissolve in a solvent like solid liquid or gas, to form a homogeneous solution. It is measured in terms of maximum amount of solute dissolved in a solvent at equilibrium.

At, this condition the solution is saturated. The solubility depends on nature of solute and solvent, temperature and pressure and according to the dissolved amount of solute , the solution may be unsaturated, saturated or supersaturated. However, solubility may vary from infinitely soluble to for ex: solution of ethanol in water to poorly soluble for ex: solution of silver chloride in water .

Solubility is the property of a solid, liquid, or gaseous chemical substance called solute to dissolve in a solid, liquid, or gaseous solvent to form a homogeneous solution of the solute in the solvent. The solubility of a substance fundamentally depends on the used solvent as well as on temperature and pressure. The extent of the solubility of a substance in a specific solvent is measured as the saturation concentration, where adding more solute does not increase the concentration of the solution
