define the terms a) Prejudice b) Stereotypes c) Discrimination. Give examples of these from what you see around you

Dear Student

a) Prejudice: Kind of preconception that is not based on any actual experience or reason.
Example: Not making friends with a politician's child because we think that he/she would be morally corrupt.
b) Stereotypes: A stereotype is a fixed idea that people have  about someone or something which is often not true.
Example: A person from Bihar cannot speak English.
c) Discrimination: Discrimination is treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favour of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit.
Example: Giving all facilities to a male child and not to a female child.
