demonstrate the occurrence of transpiration with the help of a simple polythene bag

Dear student,

Take a potted plant and cover it with a polythene bag. Observe it after a few hours. You will notice a few droplets of water in the polythene bag. This shows that the leaves of the plant show transpiration. Since, the plant is covered with a polythene bag, the water cannot escape and hence, it condenses to form droplets in the polythene bag.
