Describe George’s experience of getting up early in the morning. (Ch : 11, Three Men In A Boat)

George's watch had stopped at quarter past eight. He woke up early morning and went out on the streets at 3 presuming that he was late for his 9 'o' clock meeting in the city. He was surprised to see no one on the road, no bus etc. He came across a policeman and the latter asked him the time. George told it was five minutes to nine as his watch had started. George's strange behavior made the policeman suspicious, as he was not aware of the reality. Two plain-clothes constables came to his house with him to ascertain his credentials.
