Describe how drying of food grains is done?

Farmers sun-dry their seeds before storing them to reduce moisture in them. This prevents the spoilage of seeds. The seeds are laid on any flat surface or sheet and kept in sunlight till the moisture content of the seeds is reduced to considerable amount. These seeds are then stored in jute bags or metallic bins.This protects the grains from pests like insects and rodents.
